"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
Matthew 7: 1-2, "The Mote and The Beam"
David Ray Thaxton - this one's for you!
I shouldn't be surprised. The second-fiddle lawyer in my BPU case, Jane Sieve-Wilson seemingly disappeared after MVP's "deny and delay" tactics and haphazard document handling in my case. She worked for a short time at an insurance company (wonder how much "deny and delay" she got away with there?), then dropped off the radar. It turns out that she's been working with the Unified Government - where her father was a judge in the past. Another case of "who you know" more than "what you know."
After lead "deny and delay" coward Wonnell got appointed to a judge's position in Johnson County by Sam Brownback I wondered what she was up to - now I know. She feels that she's qualified to be a judge, pardon me if I let out a big laugh.
Let's review her actions in my case.
As I posted on the "Paper War" page, Wonnell and Sieve-Wilson played games with the paper service on Clark and Johnson. First, they denied the process server access to the Service Center. Next, they allowed Jessica Leiker to accept the papers for Clark and Johnson. Then, they filed a paper saying that Leiker wasn't approved to accept the papers, further delaying the case. And who is Leiker's buddy? That's right, Sieve-Wilson. There's no way a reasonable jury would believe Sieve-Wilson and Leiker didn't talk before those papers were served -- they knew it was coming, and that they would make sure the process server would not be allowed to serve Johnson and Clark at the Service Center. Her INTEGRITY was on full display with that move, their tactic added nearly another month to the process.
When it comes to her part in my case it was all about winning, regardless of whether or not the TRUTH showed her clients were in the wrong. If she thought I would let this just slide on by (like the Yellow Mayor thought) she couldn't be more wrong. I expect people aspiring to be judges to be above reproach. Her actions (and inactions) cost my family well over a half of a million dollars in lost wages and benefits (see counter above). Forget that? Not a chance.
In case you dispute my accusations, let me show you a prime example of actions she played a part in:
What's more disappointing is that she seems to be supported by someone who claims to be a veteran himself - and a fellow VFW member as well. This is the truest example of "who you know, not what you know" I can think of - this person would rather "look the other way" and let Sieve-Wilson's past go unchallenged. He commented to a friend and former co-worker in a tone that sounded like he disputed my claim, but as of today (25 February 2018) he has never addressed me directly to discuss this. Not what I would expect from a fellow service member.
"To know what is right and not do it is the worst cowardice." Confucius, Analects, Book II, Chapter XXIV. Quotes reported in Hoyt's New Cyclopedia Of Practical Quotations (1922).
The story of my push to get more and better USERRA investigations done for service members is far from over. The fact that BPU's involvement, as well as others' involvement is being exposed is not going away until the mission is complete.
